OSPI, the Washington Student Achievement Council, the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, and the Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board are authorized by WAC 392-415 to:
- Establish standardized criteria for high school transcripts issued by all common school districts; and
- Establish definitions for credits, hours, and marking system so that common school district high school transcripts are standardized.
Washington State Standardized High School Transcript Changes and Implementation Schedule (Bulletin 013-12)
A new transcript format, including new elements and values, is required for all high school student transcripts starting in the 2012–13 school year. School district staff are encouraged to work with their student information system vendors to incorporate the new changes as quickly as possible, but no later than December 31, 2012.
