monitors multiple federally funded programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This process fulfills OSPI's compliance monitoring requirements under Federal regulations (34 CFR 80.40).
OSPI will be conducting the following types of CPR monitoring reviews in the 2012-13 school year:
- regional routine to include on-site
and desk
- state-wide selected on-site
- four largest districts reviewed annually
Chosen districts in ESDs 105, 112, and 113 will be reviewed during the
2012-13 school year, as well as the four largest districts and selected districts. See the list of districts
to be reviewed
in the left margin of this page.
The CPR process consists of an OSPI team reviewing school districts’ federal
and selected state programs. The monitoring activities are designed to focus on
the results of the school districts’ efforts to implement critical requirements
of the ESEA using available resources and flexibility provisions. Week-long desk
reviews will be conducted in January, February, and March 2013. On-site reviews
will begin January 2013.
