Best Practices

Best Practices for School Districts is a list of resources managed by OSPI. Legislation enacted in 2010, ESSB 6444, directs OSPI to create a vehicle for districts to share opportunities "for increasing efficiencies and economies of scale in school district noninstructional operations through shared service arrangements and school district cooperatives, as well as other practices."

In keeping with the spirit of the legislation, Superintendent Dorn wants OSPI to capture and share the best practices that school districts have identified or implemented in any area—not just noninstructional areas. His hope is that by people sharing these ideas and learning from each other, school districts will be able to target more funds to the classroom and to students who need the resources most.

Use this online form to submit your ideas and materials. Here is what you will be asked to provide:
