How to Apply for Safety Net Funding

Safety net funding is available to school districts with a demonstrated capacity for Special Education funding in excess of state and federal funding otherwise provided.

To apply for Safety Net funding for the 2014–15 school year, follow these steps:

Worksheet C posting history:
11/3/14 – Original posting of all worksheets.
11/17/14 – Birthdate calculation correction on all Worksheet Cs.
12/09/14 – Number of days (cell F6 of the Worksheet C Summary) corrected on 'Current and two Previous' and 'Current and three Previous'.
1/21/15 – Number of weeks calculation (cell M7 of the Previous IEP – Staff Costs (3) worksheet) corrected on 'Current and three Previous'.
2/2/2015 - Data validation for birthdate updated to allow birthdays for 3 year olds.

Safety Net Certification

  • Complete Certification (Word) Must complete for both high need individual and community impact safety net funding.
