Current Non-Public Agencies
Public schools are required to provide a free appropriate public education
(FAPE) to eligible special education students, age 3–21. If a student’s
special education needs cannot be met within a given district, the district
may contract with an approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) for special
education and related services as the least restrictive environment (LRE)
for that student as established through the Individual Education Program
(IEP) process.

Non-Public Agencies are reviewed and approved by OSPI, May 1 of each year, for the upcoming school year. NPA status reflects current information received by OSPI.
