Early Literacy and Numeracy
Resources and evidence-based practices specific to early learning.
This online training module provides an introduction to literacy and numeracy development in young children, ages three to five. The length of each training modules is 90 minutes for a combined length of three hours. Participants will review current research and identify evidence-based instructional practices to support early literacy and numeracy development in preschoolers. Video examples and work samples are included to illustrate literacy and numeracy development in young children who are typically developing as well as children with disabilities.
This training is designed for early childhood special education teachers, but is available at no cost to anyone interested. Participants are able to earn clock hours credit from
the eLearning for
Educators Project at The Evergreen State College for completing both the literacy and mathematics training modules.
