Science Learning Standards

The 2009 version of the Washington State K-12 Science Standards strengthens the foundations of the previous document and incorporates the latest findings of educational research. Version 1.2 June 2010, includes minor revisions to increase the clarity of the science standards document. The errata sheet indicates the clarifications.

In July 2011, the National Research Council (NRC) published "A Framework for K-12 Science Education: Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas." Scroll to the middle of the page to find a free PDF version.
