Small Repair Grant Program
Evaluation Process

The evaluation team consists of individuals who have experience in school district financing and maintenance. Each application will be judged on the merit of the project. Strong consideration will be given to the ability of the School district to pass levies, capital and general fund balances as well as size of the school district budget.

Projects will be reviewed and given a rating of 1-50 with 50 representing projects ranking higher in need. It is very important to give concise descriptions for evaluators to fully understand the nature and scope of the need. In an attempt to ”level the playing field,” we will not accept supplemental materials.

When the evaluation of applications is complete, funds will be appropriated to the highest scoring districts until the available $5,000,000 is awarded. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible after the evaluation process.

Note: In the event that the lowest ranking project requests more funds than the remainder of available Urgent Repair Grant monies, we will contact the applicant to determine if the project can be completed with the available funds. See the Q&A page.
