This fall, elections will be held to fill expiring Board of Director positions in the nine Educational Service Districts throughout Washington. Board of Directors are elected to a four-year term beginning the second Monday in January 2016 and expiring the second Monday in January 2020.
To be eligible for membership on an ESD board, a candidate must be a registered voter and live in the ESD for which the candidate files. ESD board members serve a four-year term and are elected by the members of local school boards within each ESD.
Declaration of Candidacy forms for the positions may be filed with Administrative Resource Services, at OSPI, not earlier than September 1, 2015, but no later than September 16, 2015. Please note that Declaration of Candidacy forms postmarked after September 16, 2015 will not be accepted.

Additional declaration forms may be obtained from Administrative Resource Services or an educational service district superintendent. A biographical data form, prepared by the candidate, may accompany the declaration, and such biographical data will be duplicated by Administrative Resource Services and mailed with the ballots.

Each member of a school district board of directors within the educational service district will be eligible to vote in the election.
Ballots will be prepared and provided by Administrative Resource Services and will be mailed to school directors on or before than October 1, 2015. Voting will be by mail and ballots must be postmarked on or before October 16, 2015 in order to be counted. Ballots will be returned to Administrative Resource Services, OSPI, PO Box 47200, Olympia, WA 98504-7200.
