Highly Capable

HiCapPLUS Project Staff and Partners

Educational service districts, public school districts, tribal compact and private schools have joined the project as pilot sites. As a group, they represent the great variety of educational settings that exist across a state that covers 71,303 square miles, divided by a mountain range.

Demographics, resource base, enrollments, staffing profile and approach to professional learning all vary widely across these LEAs, and private schools. HiCapPLUS pilot sites reflect this kind of diversity. Several districts have a significant number of students who are English language learners, a high percentage of families eligible for the free and reduced price meal program, and students with disabilities.

  • ESDs 113, 121, 171, 189
  • Districts Bridgeport, Camas, Mount Vernon, Olympia, Pasco, Pateros, Spokane, Wenatchee
