Affirmative Action Plans and Policies
Research has shown that only educational agencies and organizations that address their own biases, strive to be inclusive of all communities and adapt to the culture and diversity of their students will realize educational excellence.
An affirmative action plan can support school district’s efforts in promoting educational excellence through equal employment opportunities and nondiscrimination within their schools.
In Washington state, every school district must file a copy of their plan or policy with OSPI.
