Education Awards

Title I, Part A Award

The Title I, Part A Award is a recognition and cash award for Title I Schools that continue to make significant progress. 

Who is eligible?
Schools that meet the following criteria will be considered for the award:

  • Designated as a Reward school for the upcoming school year.
  • Designated Title I for the past three years.
  • Made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in school year ending in 2011 and not in a step of improvement.
  •  On/Above Annual Measurable Objective (AMO) status in both reading and math for the “All” students subgroup in school year 2012.

What data are used to select recipients?
Schools are selected based on students' performance data on the state assessment test.
